Host Family

Living with a host family allows you to practise your Spanish after school in a real life situation. You get the opportunity to learn more about the Spanish way of life by taking part in the family´s activities. We select our families carefully. They may consist of parents with children, a couple or a single person. We try and match the family to your needs.

The language school is between 10 to 30 minutes away, depending on the location of the house.
Smoking is not allowed in all host families.
You will receive the details of the family 15 days before arrival.

We advise people who choose this type of accommodation that they must be adaptable and prepared to accept the Spanish way of life.
The families that we work with have one thing in common: The desire to share their homes and everyday life with others. They provide a clean and comfortable home. Students cannot expect the home to be the same as their own and they have to adapt to the changes in lifestyle, for example times of meals and type of food.

The island of Tenerife has a long history of cultural diversity and mixed nationalities and the local people are proud of their customs. Our families reflect this society and come from different backgrounds and socio-economic groups.

Our school always tries to find a family to suit each individual student. It is important to let us know any preferences you may have in advance, for example: a special diet, smoking or non-smoking or a preference for a family with or without children and/or pets.

Price includes: breakfast, room cleaning, towels and bed linen. Use of the kitchen and laundry depends on each family.

Deposit: € 50. This deposit will be refunded in full if the accommodation is left in the same condition as when you arrived.

Week basis: Check in on Sundays, Check out on Saturdays. Alternative arrangements are possible for a suplementary charge, see "extra days".
