We are proud to announce the opening of our new Academy Café. The existing site has been redesigned to provide a comfortable and relaxing environment.
The large terrace has a spectacular view across the Orotava Valley and up to El Teide, the highest mountain in Spain. It is a truly unique spot and the climate in the Canary Islands cannot be bettered anywhere in Europe, or some would say, the world. The archipelago used to be called “The Fortunate Isles” and for all of us who live here we believe that to be true. “The land of Eternal Spring” also lives up to its name, with sub-tropical temperatures exotic plants flower all year round.
The café’s large terrace catches the sun all day so you will be assured of a warm welcome. Enjoy a tasty sandwich, bocadillo (filled roll), croissant, hamburger or toasted sandwich. Our lunch dish is freshly cooked every day and costs just 3,90 € and the salad bar 2,95 €
A café’s reputation hangs on the quality of the coffee and Mercedes, who would use nothing but the best, chooses freshly ground beans from Colombia. Her years of coffee making experience ensures that the café con leche (coffee with milk) is hot and frothy.
The short strong café solo will wake you up at any time of day and the barraquito, with condensed milk, is a must for those with a sweet tooth. Our freshly squeezed orange juice is guaranteed to refresh and revive you or there is a full range of soft drinks and a choice of local beers.
