Guarantees and Quality Requirements
We use up-to-date resources and our modern teaching methods encourage self-study. Our well qualified teachers are always on hand to give students individual advice, and the peaceful, relaxed atmosphere enhances the learning experience. Our aim is to combine the pleasure of learning with a professional and efficient approach.
Our school is officially recognised by The Cervantes Institute which guarantees the quality of Spanish teaching in educational centres around the world. There are only about 60 schools in the whole of Spain that have been accredited by the Institute. Some of the selection criteria are: suitable teaching resources, well qualified and experienced teachers, groups with a maximum number of students, an official complaints and claims procedure, and clear information on prices and complementary services. The Cervantes Institute carries out regular accreditation inspections.
In 2003 we were granted the International Certificate of Quality Management, ISO 9001:2000 which stands for the International Organisation for Standardisation and “specifies requirements for a quality management system where we need to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide services that meet customer and applicable regulatory requirements, and aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system. It should include processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to the customer and applicable regulatory requirements.” *resource: www.iso.org
FU International Academy is a member of The Spanish Federation of Associations of Spanish Schools for Foreigners (FEDELE) which was founded on the initiative of regional associations to represent and promote Spanish teaching. In FEDELE we are convinced our schools can offer Spanish Language students the greatest range and quality of language courses in Spain. We deliver quality teaching, guaranteeing the following: Coherent and suitable structuring of the courses in terms of levels, objectives and content. Our methods are in accordance with pupils’ needs. Native speaking teaching staff with suitable qualifications and experience, prepare the timetable and teach in small groups. The programme includes leisure-time activities, the issuing of diplomas and certificates. A range of resources are available for students’ use. FEDELE schools fulfil all of these academic criteria endorsed by a quality stamp, either from CEELE (Qualified by the University of Alcalá ) or The Cervantes Institute.
We are members of the “Sociedad de Promoción Exterior de Tenerife (SPET)” which is the organisation responsible for the promotion of international tourism and the improvement of the island in order to create a leading holiday destination.
