Elena is doing a long term intensive Spanish course at our academy in the north of Tenerife. She visited the visitors’ centre of Teide National Park in La Orotava with other students and her teacher Daphne. Read her feedback about her experience.
Thank you so much for the fantastic excursion and thanks to Daphne for organising it!
The visitors’ centre Telesforo Bravo is a fantastic place. Although I had already visited Mount Teide’s National Park, I discovered a whole lot of new information about the history, the flora and the wildlife of Tenerife and Mount Teide.
It was such a pleasant surprise to me. They provide audio recordings in different languages, such as German or English, but if you feel confident enough, I recommend listening in Spanish. It’s the perfect practice! The videos and pictures helped me understand all the relevant information. At the end of the visit, they showed us a wonderful short videoclip featuring Teide. We enjoyed the most beautiful landascapes and were able to appreciate nature at its best as it is up in Teide’s National Park. I simply loved it!
Woul you like to visit it?
Find the necessary information about the visitors’ center here.
The visitors’ centre Telesforo Bravo is located in the historical town of La Orotava and absolutely worth visiting it. If you wish to visit Teide National Park afterwards, no problem, because it is only 25 km away.
You can also visit an ornamental garden of endemic flowers, which is located quite close to the visitors’ centre.
Telesforo Bravo offers you an exhibition, which allows you to discover Tenerife in two different ways: altitudinal (means from the coast up to the top of Teide) or historical (through the eyes of some well known persons).
This visitors’ centre is highly recommended, if you really want to get to know the fantastic island of Tenerife.
