Arrival

There are two Airports on Tenerife:

Reina Sofia in the south. There are several flights a day from most European airports. The flight time is from 4 to 6 hours. Apart from the Low Cost airlines you can also get flights with a stopover which are sometimes cheaper.
Los Rodeos in the north near La Laguna, which is mainly for domestic or inter-island flights.

If you do not rent a car the best way to get to Puerto de la Cruz from the South Airport is by bus number 343. This bus goes at 8:25, 9.45*, 11.40, 12:15, 15.40, 16:30*, 18:10, 19:15, 20:10 and 23:00* from the finalstation Los Cristianos. The Bus arrives at the south airport about 15 min. later.

Alternately take bus number 111 to Santa Cruz and then change to number 102 or 103 to Puerto de la Cruz. These buses run every 30 minutes.

From the North Airport take bus number 102 to Puerto de la Cruz. It runs every 30 minutes.
