St Sebastian’s Festival 2020
January 19 - January 20
Like every year, this traditional festival pays homage to one of the patron saints, San Sebastian, together with the Virgin of the Incarnation and Santa Úrsula.
The town of Adeje, surrounding municipalities and thousands of visitors come together to experience the traditional activities of this festival and participate in the celebrations: Holy Mass, horse ride to the sea, folk dances, Canarian handicrafts, homemade food and wine, etc.
In addition to the spectacular horse show, where riders show off their skills and the horses are even ridden into the water, donkeys, camels, sheep, goats and donkeys are also brought to receive the blessing of san Sebastian.
Even today many people come to this celebration in Adeje in the hope of a quick cure of their pain, to ask for a favor or to fulfill a promise.
