PADI Open Water Diver (Beginner) – You can do the course in 1 or 2 weeks, but we recommend you to take your time and do it in 2 weeks. PADI Open Water Diver (Advanced) – 1 week.

It is better to book the sports course immediately so that we can ensure you a place in the course. If you are not sure whether you want a sports course or not, you can book it later on, however, we cannot guarantee you a place then.

Usually, private lessons take place in the afternoon because the group courses take place in the morning.

The difference between the courses is that in the Intensive 30 you will have more time to study. After your classmates have left the class, you will receive an “in-depth study” of the content learned before.

If only one or two students have enrolled in a group course, the course will still take place. However, we will reduce the teaching time to 75% (two students) or 50% (one student). Courses may start in the morning or in the afternoon. FUIA reserves the right to schedule the lessons at the most suitable time. This also applies to individual lessons.

Junior courses are for closed groups, we don’t accept individuals. We only can offer private lessons for juniors under 16 years old.

When booking, you will be asked to give an estimated level. After booking, you will be invited to take a short test so that we can assign you to the suitable group.

If you are an absolute beginner and want to learn a level that lets you understand and speak in everyday situations, you may need to take A1 and A2 course level, which takes 9 weeks of an intensive course in total.

No, on national holidays the schools are closed and the lessons will not be rescheduled. When there are two public holidays within one week, the lessons of one day will be scheduled on another day of the same week. One-to-one language training will always be rescheduled completely.

We recommend booking your course as soon as you have decided to participate. Last minute bookings may be possible depending on the number of students in our courses.

Our courses start every Monday for all levels except beginners. The beginner’s courses start on the first and third Monday of every month.

The content of the courses depends on the level, but all classes focus on improving the fluency of speaking, listening, reading and writing Spanish. Every Monday your teacher will explain the content and all the topics you will be taught during the week.

In case a visa is refused to the student, the school will charge 150€ and the remaining balance will be refunded to the student once we have received an original VISA refusal letter from the Embassy; otherwise no refund will be made. FU International Academy cannot be held responsible if the visa application is rejected for whatever reason.

After receiving your booking, a confirmation and an invoice for the language course and accommodation will be issued. At that time the payment of 100 % of the balance should be made. Once we have received the full payment of the invoice, we will send you the course admission letter for the Spanish Embassy or Consulate.

You should apply for a student visa at least 2 months before your arrival in Spain. The process of your application may take up to 5-6 weeks.

You can bring a friend to the dance lessons, the Botanical Garden visit and beach volleyball. Concerning the trial surf lessons, it depends on the number of students who have signed up for the activity.

We advise people who choose to stay in a SHARED FLAT that they must be adaptable and prepared to live with other people from different nationalities and cultures and be sensitive to their way of life.

The tenants are collectively responsible for keeping the whole apartment clean and tidy. The school expects that all the tenants will respect each other and clean the kitchen and the bathroom after used.

The school will take care of cleaning all common areas once a week, please note that you are responsible for cleaning your own room during your stay.

Be aware that catering is only offered when staying with a host family, in a shared flat you are responsible to cook for yourself. If you would like to train your Spanish after school, too, we recommend you to stay with a host family. If you need a bit more privacy and independence, you should consider booking a shared apartment.

Because we gained a lot of experience since our opening in 2000, in 2005 we became an accredited school of Instituto Cervantes. Our teachers have been teaching in this school for a minimum of 3 years. Our school is independent, we don’t belong to a big company, so the atmosphere is very familiar. We start courses for beginners twice a month. We have different language course types, Intensive 20 or 30, which represent the number of lessons per week. Each course type has different levels from beginners A1 to proficiency C2. The minimum course booking is 1 week, so you can book 2, 3 or more weeks of the A1 – beginners level.

When booking two different types of courses, we recommend to book only one and add the other course in the comment field. The registration fee will only be charged once. The registration fee is valid for your whole life.
